Education

I graduated Shippensburg University in 2008 with a bachelors degree in english with a secondary education certification. I also aquired a reading minor and advanced writing emphasis. I am scheduled to take the certification test to become a reading education specialist. In my reading and education courses I achieved a 3.68 QPA.

Experience

I completed my student teaching placement at Chambersburg High School and Greencastle-Antrim Middle School; teaching grades 8- 12th with abilities ranging from below average to honors. As part of my reading minor I tutored at-risk youth for the duration of the semester for upcomming PSSA testing. I have also participated in a tutoring program for at-risk elementary students in Chambersburg, PA in 2008. I am currently the english teacher at VisionQuest Academy for high-risk youth. I helped create and am still participating in a tutoring program for youth trying to achieve their GED.
